“Singapore is the land of opportunities “said Potluri Gopala Krishna. Having finished his bachelors in Hotel Management in Bangalore University, Gopala decided to further his studies overseas. He had already helmed several high positions in hotels in India.

“I have worked in various positions in hotels. To enhance my overseas career and follow my dream, I knew I had to work in an International hotel chain,” he said.

Gopala joined Informatics, Singapore, to pursue an Advanced Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management. “I’m so glad I joined Informatics, especially now that some modules are NITEC-certified, I feel more confident when seeking employment after graduating.” he added.

  

 

 

 

  

Currently engaged in an industry attachment with M hotel of the Millennium Hotels Group as a trainee chef – gare manager (cold kitchen), Gopala is already looking forward to the real world. “It is a very healthy and pleasant environment and I get to be exposed to so many different F&B outlets and events!”

Upon completion of the Advanced Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management programme, Gopala has plans to return to M hotel for a couple of years. He also has ideas to work abroad after that. “I love traveling and my dreams would be to end up working the Maldives, Mauritius and Dubai.”

Gopala quotes his father as his role model and wraps our interview with this, “To achieve our goals, we must equip ourselves with a positive attitude and take pride in what we do”.
