Master of Science in Strategic Business Information Technology (MSc SBIT) is a continual education from Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic Business Information Technology (PgD SBIT) offered by NCC Education. This programme provides a thorough knowledge of IT in business, strategy and management. There is a strong IT theme running throughout the course and an opportunity to build on existing technical competencies, in networking, to an advanced level. The programme focuses on four main skill-sets:

  • Academic skills at post-degree level
  • Task management skills
  • Business strategy skills
  • Advanced technology skills

It is ideal for individuals who wish to build on their existing IT skills whilst being introduced to a range of business and management issues so as to equip them with relevant skills and knowledge to undertake responsibilities. At the end of the programme, students will be able to:

As this is a postgraduate diploma level course in IT, it is essential that all candidates have a strong knowledge of using IT. In addition candidates need to have an in depth knowledge of computer networking or, alternatively, study the Computer Networking & Management module. The PgD SBIT is designed for IT professionals and thus, we believe, it is essential that all candidates can demonstrate at a high level a practical and theoretical command of networking on course completion.

    • An IT Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or
    • A non-IT degree but with at least 3 years work experience in an IT environment together with some management or supervisory experience, or
    • For non-degree holders, 5 years work experience in an IT environment together with some management or supervisory experience. It is recognized that many experienced IT professionals who work within the industry do not have a degree. Therefore, where an IT professional can display a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, and is able to show his/her suitability, he/she may be accepted onto the programme, and
    • For candidates whose Bachelor's degree was completed in a language other than English: TOEFL score of 580 - 600 or IELTS score of 6.0 - 6.5, LCCIEB ELSA Test or their equivalent.

This is an individual assignment consisting of a 2,000 to 2,500 words essay

2 Assessed seminar

This is a group assignment consisting of two parts:

  2.1

Group chat where every member must upload his/her presentation material (Doc or Powerpoint file) before the chat

  2.2

A group assignment report in Word Doc file, being the product of the group collaboration via the chat.

• One certified true copy of educational qualifications (degree, diploma, GCE ‘A’ and ‘O’ level certificates) and transcripts showing details of results obtained.
• 2 photocopies of NRIC or passport.
• A copy of cv / resume (if applicable).

For cheque payment, the cheque must be crossed and made payable to "Informatics Education Singapore Pte Ltd”. It should not be post dated.
Closing Date: 2 weeks before commencement of the course or when the class is full.
All fees quoted are exclusive of 7% GST. The above fee covers all lectures, course notes, class handouts, student fee, library fee, examination fee but exclude textbooks and repeat course fee.
