Informatics Scholarship

 
 

INFORMATICS EDUCATION is awarding up to eight (8) scholarships to deserving and outstanding students for up to the sum of S$5,000 each or 50% of the course fees (whichever is lower).

The objectives of the awarding of scholarship are as follows:

  1. to recognize academic excellence and to encourage students to strive for academic excellence.
  2. to foster leadership qualities, as a tutorial leader, with the responsibility of helping fellow students in their studies.
  3. by exercising its corporate social responsibilities, INFORMATICS intends to contribute towards the benefit of its students.

Up to a maximum number of eight awards per year will be granted, namely, a maximum of four (4) awards for the Business School and a maximum of four (4) awards for the Computer School.

Applications will be open to INFORMATICS’ students who meet the following requirements:

  1. Must be currently registered in the INFORMATICS’ Advanced Diploma or Degree courses and have successfully completed the INFORMATICS Diploma or INFORMATICS Advanced Diploma programme.
  2. Must have good academic results of GPA 3.0 and above arising from the INFORMATICS Diploma or the INFORMATICS Advanced Diploma programme.
  3. Good conduct and character.
  4. Regular and punctual class attendance records, showing a minimum of 90% attendance record.

Applications are to be made on the INFORMATICS’ Scholarship Application Form (click) and supported with the academic results transcripts of INFORMATICS Diploma or INFORMATICS Advanced Diploma programme, before the closing date as mentioned in the INFORMATICS’ Scholarship Application Form.  Applications submitted after the closing date will not be considered.

The panel in the Scholarship Committee will assess the merits of each application submitted and only short-listed applicants will be interviewed.  The panel's decision will be final and no appeals by unsuccessful applicants will be entertained.  No reasons will be given as a result of the panel’s decision.

Successful applicants are required to sign the Scholarship Agreement and abide by the terms and conditions of the scholarship award.

Upon the signing of the Scholarship agreement, the tenure of scholarship will be for the period up to the end of the Advanced Diploma or Degree programme under the Scholarship.

Successful applicants should possess a positive attitude with good conduct that is expected of a scholar and be able to communicate effectively.

They shall be appointed as ambassadors of INFORMATICS and will be expected to uphold and promote the goodwill and image of INFORMATICS.

They will also be required, if necessary, to participate in publicity and promotional materials, publications and/or news releases of INFORMATICS.

They are required to provide tutorial support as tutorial leaders to assist fellow students of INFORMATICS at designated times during the period of your scholarship.


 
Payment of the Scholarship Award Back to the top...
 

Payments of the course fees from the Scholarship award will be made at the end of the course, that is after the passing of all modules of the course under the scholarship.
