Florence Siew completed her Bachelor of Information Technology with Queenland University of Technology, Australia. She has also completed her MBA with the University of Dubuque under the Informatics Chairman Scholarship. Florence has been with the private education industry for 12 years. She has been involved in teaching, sales & marketing, operations and product development. She also has vast experience in advising and counselling students in their education pathway. Florence also complete the Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults with the British Council. This has qualified her to teach English to non-English speaking students.
Mr. Krishna holds two professional qualifications in Accounting & Finance. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA) and Associate of the Chartered Association of Management Accountants (ACMA). He holds a Basic Degree in Science.
Mr. Krishna has over 28 years of work experience in almost all industries across Europe, Middle East, Asia and Far East covering Public Accounting, Manufacturing, Banking, Shipping and Trading companies. He has taught Accounting and Finance in India, UK as well as in Singapore. Mr. Krishna is with Informatics Group as Senior Lecturer for the past five years covering Accounting and Finance subjects for their Masters, Degree and Diploma programmes. He is the Programme Leader for UOP (BA -Accounting) and for Advanced Diploma and Diploma courses in Accounting.
Ms Sally Lo holds a Master in Science (International Marketing)
from the University of Strathclyde and a Diploma from Chartered
Institute of Marketing. Sally is also a qualified musician
with an honorary LCM (London College of Music) and Associated
Diploma in LCM.
Sally is a dedicated lecturer and has been with Thames Business
School for 11 years. She is a Marketing specialist, and her
forte is in Marketing of Services, Consumer Behaviour, International
Marketing and Marketing Communication.
Sally is the Academic Team Manager in charge of course planning
and the school library. She oversees the University of Wales
(Marketing) programme and is also one of the school counsellors.
Dr. Sein graduated from the Institute of Economics, Yangon,
Myanmar, majoring in Commerce (B. Com.). He obtained a Master
of Commerce (M. Com.) degree from the same institute. He specialised
in marketing for his doctorate at the University of Passau,
Germany and attained Dr. rer. pol. in 1991.
He has been a tutor, assistant lecturer and subsequently,
lecturer in the Department of Commerce and the Department
of Management Studies in the Institute of Economics, Yangon,
from 1978 to 1997. From 1997 to 2001, he worked as the Associate
Professor of the Economics Department in the University of
Distance Education, Yangon, Myanmar. He was a Research Fellow
of the Department of Marketing and Sales, University of Passau,
Germany in 1995 and 2001. His areas of research interests
include innovation diffusion, marketing-mix strategies and
marketing in developing countries.
Dr Sein's interests also do not merely cater to pure academia.
His hobbies include reading, cultural & religious discourse
and dissecting European culture.
Thomas Davies graduated from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne (U.K.) with a BA (Hons) in Accounting and Law. He has a flare for languages and speaks French and Spanish. He is also a keen footballer and photographer. Thomas encourages participation from his students in a disciplined but relaxed classroom environment. “Learning a new language requires an all around effort that does not end at the end of school.”
Ken was been with Informatics groups for more than 13 years. In his time with the company he has help many positions – both academic and in management. He has been a lecturer in the Business Faculty and in Thames Language School as both a Programme Leader and Senior Lecturer. Ken was also involved in the Salem International University as Academic Ambassador for the Informatics group.
Ken has more than 25 years of teaching experience in Japan, America and Singapore. He graduated with a BA in History and Political Science from Charleston in 1981. He also speaks Japanese and is interested in international cultures.
He is a popular student who combines humor and a passion for learning to his lesson.
Max Richer has graduated with top marks from the University of Quebec (Canada) with a BA in Liberal Arts with majors in Writing and Administration. Having lived in a few Asian countries for more than 5 years, he has developed a good experience in teaching to Asian students, and takes great interests in learning friendly greet words in all of their languages. “They are tensed at the idea of having to speak only English, so a few words in their own language here and there helps them to relax.”
Ms Prema Latha graduated from Murdoch University (Western Australia) majoring in Media and Marketing in 2000. Since then, she has been in the teaching profession for almost 8 years. She worked as an English teacher during her start into the educational industry in both private and government schools. She has also been a Broadcast Journalist for a news radio station in Singapore, where she worked as a news editor. Before joining the educational industry, Ms Prema worked as a marketing and advertising executive in the private sector.
In Thames Business School, Ms Prema teaches Radio Journalism, Media Law and Ethics, Film Studies and other communication maincontents.
She believes that the best way to learn a subject well is not just to be serious but to have fun during the learning process and to try experience the practical aspect of what is being taught in the classrooms.
